SD weekend
Campground is nice and sites are spacious. The 1 downfall is that sites 17E and 19E are right by the local sewage station. The smell was terrible. We could not sit outside.

felt a bit abandoned
Love the cabin, love the view, bath-house was clean & well-kept
Only had an issue figuring out how to re-lock our cabin. Called the number posted on our cabin around 8pm and no one called me back until about 10am the next morning. Not cool

Walkers Point Needs A New Campground Host!!!!
We have camped at this park twice in the last month. Both times when we arrived the fire pits are filled with the previous occupants remains. Every other park we've been to the campground host cleans out the fire pits after the guests have left and move the picnic tables to the center of the parking pad. We have never seen the campground host until this last weekend when I knocked on his door and asked him to talk to our neighbors about the loud music. His reply was "I can't hear them" Well maybe you should leave your camper once in awhile and tour the park. He never checks to see if you are parked in the correct spot, he never comes around to ask if you need wood. I think the only thing this guy is looking for is free camping for the season. We've heard several comments from other campers about the lack of interaction from the host. You need to dump this dude and get someone in there that puts in a little effort to make you feel welcome. Especially after raising prices for state park stickers, cabin and camping fees.

Labor Day weekend
9E is the best spot if you want to be central to the bathrooms and the park. The weekend was great except that the was 1 super rude camper who tried to pick a flight over us fishing on the boat dock. We pulled our lines and moved out of the way for them like the sign said but apparently that wasn't good enough.
