All this to camp in a empty campground?
I will never jump through that many hoops to spend one night at any state park. I could see if it was a busy time but this place was empty. Never again

Nice park, overpriced
Campground was overall very nice. Nice wooded sites and pleasant quiet atmosphere. Shower house was clean and in good order. Sites were a bit expensive, but then tacked on an out-of-state fee AND and a day-use fee. Very overpriced for an electric only site at a state park. Camp host was friendly and helpful. Beware Site #10 has a sketchy electric pedestal.

Horse Camp
I love this hidden gem of a state park with horse trails and camping. I’d love to see a hydrant closer to the corrals. The corrals were recently updated by a Boy Scout troop. Well done.

Wish we could have stayed longer
Had a very nice pull thru spot, with view of the woods. Too bad it was only for one night.
