Overnight fishing trip
Stayed the night at 2E. I picked this area since it had trees shading the camping areas. Although the area did have showers, they are not located in this area and are instead over on the west campground area. Initially set up with a couple hours of day light left and was happy to see 50 amp service, 30 amp service along with 15 amp outlet for all your electrical needs. The mosquitos were absolutely on a tear when I was setting up, but I carried some fogger with me to spray down the area. This worked for about 2 hours, and then they returned. Definitely be prepared for these blood suckers if you’re tent camping or spending much time outside. All sites were clean and mowed and provided a picnic table and fire pit with grate. I also chose this area since there is a fish cleaning station in the area. Overall good stay, and will be back again.

Vault toilets
On the morning before we left, campers use the vault toilet in the East Campground, someone couldn't evidently sit down to do their job and, yes, on the floor the sides of the toilet. all over. The camp host was notified of this "mess" and after two days, nothing was done to clean this up for the campers that were in that campground. I've used vault toilets before with no problem, but this was the worst I can remember of it not being cleaned. Not just this time, but over different stays all summer and especially when it was reported that someone passed by and was totally rude to defecate all over, no sense. I mean if that's how they are, go out in a corn field, so no one has to clean up after!! Gross conduct, but the park did nothing to clean this up for the remaining campers and our remaining stay.

Swan Creek Yard Light
We like the east campground at Swan Creek however in this last visit the yard light had been fixed/replaced. I'm all for a little light by the vt or another bulb that is not 10000 lumens. If you're looking to get away from the bright lights of the city and enjoy the stars don't pick site (7E).
