Camp Host
We did not see a camp host on any of the 5 days we were at Rocky Point. There are not enough dumpsters in this campground. Even though it is convenient because it is close to our home, we probably won’t camp at Rocky Point, again. The bathrooms needed cleaning. We love all of the other state parks in our area.

Labor Day stay
The park staff were a bit over the top. When we arrived there was no one at the ranger station. Then we’re almost ticketed for not displaying our disabled veterans lifetime pass, not even questioned. Happened to see the guy and asked about it. But didn’t see them ticket anyone else with vehicles and not both displayed.... Then overheard another staff (woman) telling an 8 year old girl not to use the showers to wash off mud...which was hard to avoid due to the water levels being so low, no one’s fault. Just put a bad taste in my mouth. What else are showers for?
Would be nice if there was a portopotty or something a bit closer to the swim beach as it was quite a trek to the stationary one by the campers.
Overall good experience but there should probably be some more consistency in the park staff as far as what is allowed and what is not or signs somewhere if they cannot be manning the ranger station, felt more like the sheriffs were on duty instead of park staff that in my experience, DO enforce the rules but talk to people, help people. Not everyone is out to break the rules.

Very nice rec area with good facilities; however, the price per night plus reservation fees and entry fee added up to about what a hotel would cost. Its a nice spot if you are looking for an outdoor stay, but if just passing through we'd do a hotel next time due to the cost.

Camp host no where to be found
The camp host was not there our entire trip. The last day the men's bathroom ran out of toilet paper, so everyone was making sure everyone in the campground new.

Grounds and showers
Overall it was a great trip and grounds/facilities were clean. However the grassy area on camp spot was not mowed before or during our stay.
The grass was pretty tall. The showers and restrooms were clean but the drains in showers were clogged. My husband called about one and never did hear back. So when we noticed another stall had same issue we did not report as nothing seemed to have been done about the first one he called about.

Beautiful campground
We have stayed at this campground even before there was an actual campground. The facilities are nice & clean. The camp sites are spacious. We love sitting by the campfire at our own campsite!
We have one complaint about the Canadian Thistles that are growing in the grassy areas.

We love Orman as it's close to home. We wish that there were more spaces to camp as it is hard to get a spot to camp. We can go to the free side, but the dust is awful. Please consider putting more spots with electric.

Simplify
Rocky point is always kept clean and safe with ranger driving through regularly. They had shower house open. The park rangers have been busy with planting trees. Simplify your life with nature at Rocky point.
