Great Campground
Booked just for a stopover on the way to Custer but really enjoyed the campground. Cleanest bathrooms and showers ever.

Need to trim trees on pad 62 for bigger campers couldn’t pull all the way back. All these state parks need to spray for mosquitoes couldn’t sit by the fire without getting ate alive by mosquitoes.

Pelican is our favorite spot to camp! Clean park, great lake. We'd like to see the rates come back down a bit. Perhaps that will also bring up camping occupancy numbers.

Storny Nights
We stayed 2 night on our way home from a North Dakota trip. The park is well kept up and very well taken care of. It rained and stormed the 2 days we were there so didn't do much.

Great stay!
Nice clean, friendly campground. Nice horse trails and horse pens. Bummed to have so many campers in horse camp without horses but appreciate the nice facility and friendly staff.

Great stay in a quiet cabin
We stayed a week in Cabin 1 - it is right on the lake with great deck, ac in the cabin was nice, beds were surprisingly comfortable. This cabin is not really close to anything else, nice for quiet, but kind of far from bathrooms!
The main office is rarely open, hunt down a campground host if you need help. All of the hosts and staff we were in contact with were super helpful.

Memorial Weekend Stay
The park was very clean and we had a great time despite one rainy day. Our spot had a great view of the lake. I do have a couple of concerns. The entire weekend I never saw that the entrance building was open. A couple of times we did see park workers driving around. We also never saw the campground hosts. Seems to be an issue at all state parks in recent years. I remember the hosts always coming around to welcome campers. Firewood bundles are pre-bundled and small. My biggest issue was the number of campers with dogs unleashed. Unfortunately, the hosts or workers do not seem to pay attention to that and enforce the leash policy.

Great park, horrible mosquitos
This park is beautiful and well kept but the mosquitoes were so bad, we couldn’t enjoy the outdoors at all.

Stay
We were in site 1E which is converted to a ADA site. I would suggested that the actual parking spot be entirely paved to help. The new pad is nicely done but in a wet year the parking site could be problematic for people with disabilities. We weren’t disable but got to use it and it was a thought I had during our stay. I actually would love all of the sites to be paved but that is likely not going to happen but would be wonderful.
