Great park, horrible mosquitos
This park is beautiful and well kept but the mosquitoes were so bad, we couldn’t enjoy the outdoors at all.

We were in site 1E which is converted to a ADA site. I would suggested that the actual parking spot be entirely paved to help. The new pad is nicely done but in a wet year the parking site could be problematic for people with disabilities. We weren’t disable but got to use it and it was a thought I had during our stay. I actually would love all of the sites to be paved but that is likely not going to happen but would be wonderful.

Excellent experience
We reserved a campsite online. When we arrived it was a bit late and someone had taken our campsite.... But there were so many nice open spaces available, we didn't make a fuss and just camped in another spot. I wish there was a way that the site staff could check the website and place a reserved sign over the site post that we're reserved online.... But the experience was great and the whole park was so well maintained and so quiet it's hard to complain about anything.

Enjoyed our stay in our camper. Got a little exciting Sunday evening with the big storm that went through.
Couldn't find the amphitheater, so asked the staff st the welcome booth. One of the workers was very helpful, the other seemed annoyed by our questions. The signage to FIND the amphitheater was not helpful. Checked out the amphitheater they now have. The location for it is poorly chosen. In the middle of trees (no air movement) and no place to sit for programs. The stage is a nice set up but should have been planned and placed out in the open somewhere.

Our Favorite Campground
We love this campground - we camp here at least twice a year. The spacious lots are a huge factor as to why this is our favorite campground. It allows the whole family space to explore and play. It would be much appreciated to have motion lights installed into the vault toilets.

Overall a very nice park. The main gripe is the cabin spots and the spot next to it where we stayed, get used as a shortcut to a fishing dock. This was especially annoying when large groups of teenagers walk right in through the middle of your spot and our dogs were going nuts

Quiet Park
Overall, a nice park. We did not see the camp host at all during out stay. The hiking trails were not mowed and, in some areas, not kept in repair from past storms along the lake. The main restrooms were clean, but the shower heads need replacement as you get a stream of water instead of a shower.

Nice site
The site was overall in great shape. However, it was really hard to level the camper due to all the recent rain. Even with using leveling pads, the camper kept wanting to sink on the side. This was compounded by the site pad actually naturally sloping too.
Area around water and sewer dump on site needs to be filled and and re-leveled due to settling. Hard to efficiently drain/dump camper when it has to climb back into the sewer drain in the last couple of feet.
Overall campground was quiet and beautiful. Lots of birds, rabbits and even a visit from a pair of deer one morning!

Horse stalls were clean however it would be nice if there were a wheel barrel available so you could keep them clean during your stay.

Pelican Lake cabin
We love Pelican! It is a smaller campground so it tends to be quieter, but there are lot's to do! Many walking trails with neat scenery, an archery course, a nice swimming beach, a park for kids. We stayed in a cabin 1, it had a very nice front porch and very nice patio around the fire pit. It also was secluded by trees and was right in the water with a nice beach. We loved it and will be back!
