Have never seen it like this.
Have been at Mina Lake several times and always on opening of Pheasant season for 1-2 weeks each year. Arrived and discovered one toilet in men’s restroom plugged. And very low toilet paper levels. TP was never refilled. Bought a plunger at Runnings and got the toilet working on and off. NOBODY from SDGFP was there to fix the problem OR fill TP in the restrooms. It was TWO WEEKS and nobody came to work it or stock the TP. We survived and had a good hunt despite this. But I have never seen anything like this at Mina Lake or any other SD Park campground. Don’t know what is going on but hope you can get it worked out before next Pheasant season.

The weather was still nice enough that I feel the bathroom could have still been open. The outhouse did not have toilet paper the entire week that we were there.

The bathrooms and showers were very clean, however, the lights in the shower turn off if there’s not been movement in the forward part of the bathhouse. I would have given 5 stars had I not had to shower in the dark. I suggest removing the automatic light shut off or add it back to the shower area. There was no host during our 6 day stay. The fire ring in our site was behind the camper. Basically on the side where the next camper is. Not good for privacy or maintaining quiet should your neighbor be in bed while you are around your fire.

Modern Cabin
The one bedroom (full size bed on bottom) could use an upgrade. The bed squeaks from minor movements, waking others in the room. The couches could use legs so you weren't siting on the floor. Move the firepit to an area that is even so chairs do not tip over. Cabin had ants.

Tent site at Mina Lake
We stayed in #10 which is next to the tent site. At one time, there were 8 tents there and many, many people. There used to be more trees blocking the view/noise from the tents but they're gone so we could hear everything and they partied until 4:00am the first night. They walked within 5 feet of our fire pit and if we hadn't taken our dog home, she would've had a fit! Do NOT recommend #10 anymore. The 2nd night, they got talked to and were quieter!

Overall a great park. The comfort station facilities were clean and maintained. Most of the sites have some degree of shade but it varies. My only gripe would be the placement of the dumpsters at the entrance of the park with none in the campground area itself. For those with a single camping unit and no tow vehicle it is a 1/4 to 3/4 mile walk round trip to dispose of trash, depending on campsite location.

Upon arrival when we went to use the restroom , noticed that only one out of the 3 stalls only had toilet paper. there was no heat in the woman's bathrrom (Did not work). Had to drive home to bath due to the cold tempatures ( 25 mile drive) ,Did not see the campground host for days - their vehicle would come and leave daily. Visited with campers from Alaska and Canada - who were also unhappy about the conditions at the campground. NOT A GREAT IMPRESSION FOR OUT OF STATE/COUNTRY VISITORS !!! 5 - days later When park workers arrived I discussed these concerns and they worked on correcting them.
