Great location, well maintained - lots of bugs and algae
The facility was lovely. The lakeshore campsites have a great view. The issue is the amount of algae in the lake. The first day it was so bad it was like a thick muck floating along the lakeshore. There were people swimming offshore, but I still wouldn’t let my dogs in the lake.
The bathhouses were clean and in good repair.
Lots of mosquitoes and flies around.
The reservation system was difficult to use. I didn’t want to add an account, not register for hunting licenses and other things.

Someone's swimsuit top was left in top bunk mattress. We were not able to get into our cabin and couldn't reach anyone for assistance for over an hour.

Fantastic Spots Right on Lake
The sites right on the lake can’t be beat. The kids can spend the day swimming just feet from the camper. You will feel any amount of wind on the lake front sites simply because you’re on the lake. The bugs were also quite bad in the evening but that’s also the nature of being right on the lake. A new thing I saw this trip that I didn’t love is a lot of campers had pulled their boats right up to their sites. It seems dangerous to have big pontoons or speedboats floating in the swimming area.

A short stay
Stayed in site 114T. It was a nice alcove of trees shared with 113. The park was clean along with the lake, restrooms and trash areas. The down side was all the flies! We kept our camp area clean but the flies were awful. We were also expecting more sand on the beach. If we would have onown it was so rocky we would have brought swim shoes.

Worst weekend camping EVER
Worst weekend camping in 25 years. Couldn't wait to go home! People across the road from us blasted their music from early afternoon to 11 pm. for three days. Mosquitoes were so bad we couldn't be outside to enjoy the campfire, despite multiple uses of spray and fogging the campsite. Campground did go through with a fogger the first evening, but the park needs a bigger machine that will actually do something. According to one of the hosts, the park knew they had a mosquito problem. In that case, they should have been spraying sooner. Also, the bath house was out of hand soap.

Relaxing
We camped with grandkids starting the Monday after the 4th of July. We were very impressed on how clean the comfort stations were and the grounds. I suggest a dumpster near the dumping station. Being on site 79 we had to go all the way around to the dumpster near the comfort station. That dumpster was the opposite way of leaving the park. There wasn’t anyone at the office to get the information on Internet access.

This is an exceptional campground run very well. I would highly recommend it. As we were sitting outside our cabin one day, a bike parade rode by. And the flower beds are amazing. The park manager even came by to ask us about our stay. We will be back!

Enjoyed the visit and the campground. Our 30 amp breaker broke about an hour after arriving on Sunday at 5pm. I couldn't find anyone in the park (at the station or host) so I used a converter until the morning when there was people at the office. Once I told them my issue, it was fixed by noon that day.

The park and facilities are beautiful and well kept. The campground hosts were a bit rough in regards to their treatment of the campers. While the children of their site were able to not follow park rules (darting out into traffic, going the wrong way in the road on bikes at high speed), the hosts were not friendly to the other campers for “breaking rules”. Overall there were only a few instances however these hosts made the experience not pleasant.

The campground is really being kept up well. The bathrooms were so clean all weekend. I wanted to personally thank the staff who cleaned the bathrooms, but I was never around when they did their job.
