the Cleanliness or lack of comes from the Men's showerhouse. It was not good. The womens was fine and so was the cabin and the area surrounding it.

Great shade at 60E, it seems like "little" trash (bottle tops, batteries) is not being picked up around campsites we did clean up items we found. Campground host is putting picnic tables on parking pad when they "clean" the site this is a challenge to move to get a camper in.

Something needs to be done about all the people coming into the campground to use the shower facilities. We were in the cabins right across from the shower house and watched car loads and golf cart loads of people pull in and drop off people to use the showers. This happened just about every day several times as we were walking to them to try and shower, so that was delayed an hour or so. Also there are lots of dead branches that need to be cut down above the cabins before one of them falls on someone. We love camping in Cascade and love Angostura!

Clean & comfortable
Clean well maintained cabin. Kids loved it. My only issue was no access to the water from our cabin. Website maps made it look closer than it was. No trails to get there. Had to drive.

Great Place to Camp
The camping spots at the Hat Creek Camp[ground are the best! The spots right on the water are large and perfect for family and friends. The camp host goes up and above any other camp ground around. The shower house and bathrooms were spotless. We could not have asked for a better experience for our weekend.

Beautiful, peaceful stay!
We stayed at Horsehead Campground. The camp hosts were great, the facilities were clean, the spaces were all very well maintained, they were spaced apart well, giving plenty of space between campers. It was a perfect location for access to all that the Black Hills has to offer, without the chaos of staying right in the middle of it. Bonus - amazing place for stargazing.

Loved the place BUT....
I loved everything about this place. However, 3rd night we were there, some campers literally threw a UFC party, complete with popup canopy and gigantic TV. And Dolby Surround Sound. And like 30 people. They cheered loudly for every punch thrown until the fight ended around 10pm. But they were just getting started. I went out at 2am to hit the bathroom. Their fire was still raging and I could hear them talking. It was a Sunday night. The camp Host should never have allowed this.

The men's bathroom was not cleaned or checked on Monday. The toilet was plugged from early Monday afternoon until Tuesday morning. The sinks were full of insects from the night before and were never cleaned until Tuesday morning.

Disappointing
Very disappointing that people still reserve spots every weekend allowed and then don’t show up. Campground reservations showed full after mine were made, but there were so many spots empty that others could have used.
New fill stations are great but too tight of turns to get in and out from the road.
