Ventilation screen in women’s restroom is so packed with dirt, etc that there is no ventilation. Rest of restroom was clean. Also, bird nest under cabin deck roof resulted in bird manure on front of cabin by front door and pile of dried bird manure on deck where people would usually store their stuff. Inside table had dead bugs on top

I enjoyed the trip overall! Did not use any of the campground facilities other than to purchase firewood from the kind and available campground host. I’m disappointed prices went up this year for the sites. Seems it would have been better to charge more for cancellations than for the site

Restroom Lights
The new restrooms are fantastic. The one issue is the automated lights when you walk into the main women's or men's restrooms. The sensors are by the front door and if you are using the shower, the lights shut off within minutes and you have to shower in the dark. It would be great to add sensors in the shower stall so the lights will stay illuminated to make sure you're not washing your hair with body wash....

Great Location - Needs More Family Attractions
We really enjoy the location of Cow Creek. The sites are nice and the views of Lake Oahe are beautiful. However, this campground is not family friendly for young children. We have a 1 year old and 4 year old. Our kids love to play outside, go playgrounds, and go to the beach. Cow Creek NEEDS a park playground area for children. Every other State campground we have been to has playground areas except for Cow Creek. This needs to be addressed! Also, a dedicated beach area would be a huge improvement. The only areas to get to the water are via boat or out on the points which are often reserved by other campers. Maybe it would be possible to create a beach area down by the boat ramp area somewhere. A dedicated, safe beach area would be very nice attraction for families and kids to have access to.
