Poor experience at Cow Creek

Upon our arrival at cow creek on July 6 we noticed the overflowing garbage and were told they would be picking up on Friday. Not sure why on a busy holiday week you wouldn’t pick up early. The traffic was horrible and very fast and no traffic control at all. We were told upon our arrival that we could not park our boat on the grass but all the fancy boats that arrived for the governors fishing derby were allowed to park wherever they wanted. Several were on the grass and they were never reprimanded for it. There was only one state park car that drove thru periodically and at a higher rate of speed than should have been. We have been camping for many years and the service is getting worse all the time in all the state parks. Host and hostess were no where to be found after our first day there when they told us to keep our boat off the grass. Bathrooms for the women went several days without being cleaned. We enjoy camping in our state parks but think the service could be a lot better. Kiosk our no replacement for human interaction. Mosquitoes and flies were atrocious. Needed to spray for mosquitoes as that is a health hazard
